Pav Sina welcomes Ministry of Health’s measure on Derm Angkrong Maternity Hospital

Phnom Penh: President of the Collective Union of Movement of Workers, Mr. Pav Sina, expressed his appreciation for the action of the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia, which has temporarily closed the Derm Angkrong Hospital and Maternity Hospital on National Road 3 after negligent work and irresponsibility causing a 5 month pregnant woman serious injuries and emergency at Calmette Hospital.

Mr. Pav Sina said, "After the Ministry of Health decided to temporarily close the Derm Angkrong Hospital and Maternity Hospital to investigate this case, I hope that she will get justice for the hospital's irresponsibility. I urge the doctors and the Ministry of Health to do their best to save her from this accident. "

After seeing that this horrific case happened on November 28, 2022, yesterday, Mr. Pav Sina immediately requested that the Ministry of Health look into the case of a stillbirth woman who had an accident at Derm Angkrong Hospital and Maternity Hospital.

"I urge the Ministry of Health to look into this matter as soon as possible for the Derm Angkrong Hospital and Maternity Hospital for the negligence of the midwives," he said. " I hope she is recovering well."

His appeal comes after a case of a woman victim who was treated for a stillbirth whilst five months pregnant. She went to the hospital and maternity ward above and was injured due to the negligence of Midwifery staff.

After a lot of social media sharing from the public, there was also an immediate response from the Ministry of Health, and in less than 24 hours, the Ministry of Health decided to temporarily close the hospital and continue the legal measures provided.
