Takeo: President of the Confederation of Cambodian Workers' Movement (CCW), Pav Sina, on Sunday morning, July 9, met with local union leaders along National Road 3 in Takeo and Kampong Speu provinces at the location of the Technical Research and Agriculture Training Department, as well as association members with nearly 200 participation, who are engaged in the informal economy, for the purpose of disseminating and educating more about the knowledge of traffic laws and driving on public roads in collaboration with (AIP).

An AIP representative said that the accident on a public road was unpredictable and it was "shocking" when families and relatives received an accident alert about their family members, that is something that not everyone can accept.

President of CDLPA, Prum Bunthorn, also instructed the participants that drivers on public roads should be tolerant in driving, which is a big factor that can help us reduce accidents because most of the accidents are caused by people who do not respect each other, do not know well about the traffic law.

"Most of you driving on the road do not respect each other’s, I urge you to respect each other's rights, your negligence, it is a pity that everyone "Send life on the driver, please reconsider." He added that his association is happy to provide more training to members on traffic law ethics and driving on the road to reduce risks and accidents.

During a meeting with local union leaders and members of the association, President of CUMW, Pav Sina said that in connection with traffic accidents, it was nicknamed the "hidden killer". He said that the number of traffic accidents that occurred to workers in 2022 was nearly 8,000 cases and more than 7,000 work accidents, which figure does not include traffic accidents across the country.

He said that traffic accidents are a major concern of relevant institutions, especially national institutions that must find all ways to prevent this case, the national institution is currently studying, correcting and drafting a law on driving to make people respect the law and have many measures, as well as fines, which we observe to be dissatisfied with the people, but obviously those measures are only to protect the lives of all citizens.

However, Pav Sina also expressed the same disapproval of traffic law enforcement officers who use public roads as their own business, and obviously this does not help reduce traffic accidents, and such actions This is why it undermines the ethics of law enforcement, even though he does not refer to law enforcement officers across the country who practice professional code.
