Phnom Penh: International Labour Day on 1 May 2026 is celebrated under the theme “Building Resilience Together for Decent Work”. This serves as a call for unity among workers, employers, and governments to promote decent and fair work.

Cambodia’s labour landscape includes sectors such as garment, footwear, bags, travel products, construction, and tourism, which employ millions of people, often under precarious conditions that require resilience building.

The theme promotes decent work through better wages, safer factories, and greater inclusion for migrant and informal workers, building on recent ILO collaborations.
