CUMW Offers Profound Condolences to Families of Fallen Civilians and Soldiers

Phnom Penh: The Collective Union of Movement of Workers (CUMW) expresses its deepest sorrow and shares profound grief with the families of civilians killed in the flames of the war of aggression, as well as with the families of heroic soldiers and border guards who sacrificed their lives.

CUMW extends these deepest condolences to the families of civilians, soldiers, and border guards who perished in the war of aggression, while wishing a speedy recovery to the injured civilians, soldiers, and border guards.

Beyond sharing this immense sorrow, CUMW—representing all workers—has no greater commitment than tirelessly seeking aid and dedicating its resources to support evacuated civilians, frontline soldiers, and border guards, while strongly condemning the savage and barbaric aggression by the Siamese military.

On the morning of December 29, 2025, CUMW delivered humanitarian aid to civilians evacuated from the war of aggression, as well as to frontline soldiers and border guards, through the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training.

This aid reflects the resolute determination of CUMW to partner with the government and the Ministry of Labor in easing the hardships of civilians displaced by the war of aggression, while continuing to provide full support to the frontline soldiers and border guards who have sacrificed their flesh and blood—especially the troops currently holding positions along the border against the invading enemy.

It should be noted that this humanitarian aid, channeled through the Ministry of Labor, marks the eighth round provided by CUMW under the leadership of President Pav Sina. The previous seven rounds were delivered to evacuated civilians, soldiers, and border guards in the provinces of Preah Vihear, Pursat, Battambang, Oddar Meanchey, Anlong Veng, and Banteay Meanchey.

CUMW extends profound gratitude for the patriotic spirit and unity—embodied in the motto “Khmer love Khmer, Khmer help Khmer”—shown by union leaders, workers, and employees, especially Cambodians overseas who contributed their personal funds through CUMW. This represents the most vital support in assisting evacuated civilians and frontline troops.
