Phnom Penh: On December 20, 2025, the Collective Union of Movement of Workers (CUMW) delivered humanitarian aid—including 10 tons of rice, 400 cartons of noodles, 600 cartons of soy sauce, 400 cartons of canned fish, and 1,000 cartons of purified water—for distribution to evacuated civilians and frontline soldiers in Thma Kol and Barvel districts, Battambang province.
These donations came from generous contributors both in Cambodia and abroad, local union leaders, and workers from various factories and enterprises through CUMW. The aid was distributed to three locations in Thma Kol and Barvel districts, Battambang province.
The first portion was given to displaced people at Wat Pa Ran Si in Kok Khmum commune, Thma Kol district. The second portion was handed over to border guards in the Boeung Trakuan area through Lieutenant General Ly Lay, Director of the Heritage Protection Police Department and Deputy Governor of Battambang province. The third portion was distributed to displaced people at Kbal Thanol in Prey Khpos commune, Barvel district, Battambang province.
CUMW President Pav Sina expressed profound gratitude for the patriotic spirit and unity—embodied in the motto “Khmer love Khmer, Khmer help Khmer, one Khmer”—shown by union leaders, workers, employees, and especially Cambodians overseas. They contributed funds, supplies, food, condiments, and other essentials through CUMW, which continues to accept additional humanitarian aid.
The Collective Union of Movement of Workers is actively mobilizing further humanitarian support for the brave soldiers steadfastly defending the motherland against the most ferocious and brutal invasion by Thai forces, as well as for evacuated civilians enduring great hardship after fleeing to safe areas and abandoning their homes.
He emphasized that this outpouring of support in difficult times reflects strong national solidarity and trust in the Royal Government of Cambodia. It also demonstrates the noble Cambodian tradition of respect, compassion, and sharing in times of hardship, while expressing the deepest gratitude for the sacrifices—lives, flesh, and blood—of our courageous soldiers. They fight to repel Thai military aggression, protect the well-being of civilians in rear areas, and strengthen our national defense, united under the powerful banner: “Khmer solidarity, Khmer strength” in the battle against territorial invaders.
At the same time, Pav Sina extended his deepest thanks to all generous donors and his profound gratitude to the brave soldiers protecting the integrity of our beloved land and people.
