Phnom Penh: The Collective Union of Movement of Workers (CUMW) has announced the suspension of its annual general meeting, scheduled for 21 December 2025, in order to respond to the ongoing armed conflict along the Cambodia-Thailand border and to enable the organisation to help alleviate the hardship faced by displaced civilians.

By postponing this year’s annual general meeting and redirecting its budget, CUMW is addressing the escalating border war and the rapidly growing number of displaced people. The funds originally allocated for the event will be transferred to the union’s relief fund and used to purchase food and essential supplies for frontline soldiers and displaced civilians.
