Kampong Chhnang: On September 18, 2025, Pav Sina, President of the Collective Union of Movement of Workers (CUMW), visited a construction site in Kampong Tralach district, Kampong Chhnang province to meet with construction workers who have not been paid their salaries by the construction site owner, Power China.

Pav Sina listened to the problems of a group of more than 30 construction workers, most of whom are Cambodian nationals returning from Thailand, who said that they have been working since July but have not been paid their salaries.

They said that they have requested their salaries several times, but the owner has always delayed payment, again and again. Each of them has already packed their bags to go to their hometowns for the Pchum Ben festival, but they do not even have money for travel expenses.

Pav Sina added, "In my opinion, in this case, the relevant officials must take strict action against the actions of this construction owner so that he does not escape his responsibility.

He continued that not paying wages to workers seriously affects their livelihoods, especially those who have just arrived from Thailand. They may have a sense of humor and can compare the work in their hometown with their own. Therefore, in order to prevent their livelihoods from being affected, the relevant officials must take immediate action.
