Phnom Penh: As has been planned for many years, to help ease the burden of citizens traveling to their hometowns during the traditional Khmer Pchum Ben festival, the Prime Minister has given the directive to the Phnom Penh Administration to prepare buses to transport citizens to their hometowns for free.
Khuong Sreng, Governor of the Phnom Penh Municipal Government, stated that the Phnom Penh Administration has prepared 597 buses to serve daily transportation services in Phnom Penh and to transport people to their hometowns during the traditional Khmer Pchum Ben festival 2025 for 6 days, from 20 to 25 September 2025, including:
1. 100 buses to serve daily transportation services in Phnom Penh and the public bus service to Techo International Airport (AIRPORT EXPRESS BUS).
2. 497 buses to transport citizens from Phnom Penh to their hometowns and back, divided into 7 major routes. Details will be provided to the public by the Phnom Penh Municipal Government soon.
The Prime Minister hopes that this arrangement will help facilitate and ease some of the burden on citizens’ travel during this year’s traditional Khmer Pchum Ben festival.
