Preah Vihear: On August 17, 2024, Pav Sina, president of the Collective Union of Movement of Workers, brought the third charitable donation to the Cambodian army heroes who are on the front lines at the border.
In return for the sacrifice of blood in the defense of national sovereignty, Pav Sina is continuing to seek help to contribute to the Cambodian people as the country faces a crisis of war and aggression.
This third charitable donation was received from Nov Nhorn and Yu Kimsong, who live in Stockton, California, USA. They provided an additional budget of $5,000 through Pav Sina himself to prepare necessary supplies for the frontline soldiers.
It should be noted that the necessary equipment was handed over to Ry Sopheak, commander of the 374th Intervention Battalion, 7th Intervention Brigade, which is stationed on the front line in the direction of Ghost Mountain.
The materials prepared so far include 20 tons of Camel cement; three sets of solar panels, each including a 150-watt solar panel, a 120-watt battery, a mounting bracket, 15 meters of wire, and a pair of battery holders; 9.7 kilos of wire; and chairs, as well as a budget of $200. With travel expenses of $200, the total budget is $3,303. The remaining budget is $1,697, plus the remaining budget from the first donation of $2,039, for a total remaining budget of $3,736.
The remaining budget, as well as the budget from the current second fundraising campaign, will be used to purchase food and necessary supplies for refugees, military heroes, and national police heroes who are currently standing guard at the border.
Pav Sina continued to appeal to philanthropists both local and abroad, as well as union leaders, members, workers, and employers, to please continue to donate as much as possible, "like a gentle rain," to support our brave soldiers, national police, and displaced people.
