Phnom Penh: The National Minimum Wage Council on the morning of August 29, 2024 held its second meeting to discuss the minimum wage in textiles, garments, footwear, bags and travel products for 2025.

As a result of the tripartite meeting, workers' representatives sought a $14 wage increase ​on the current figure of $204 and employers' representatives proposed a $1 raise on the current figure of $204.

The meeting agreed to resume the tripartite talks at 10:00 am on September 6, 2024.
