Phnom Penh: On the morning of August 28, 2024, a traffic accident occurred between a workers transportation vehicle and a truck on National Road 4 in Kampong Seila district, Preah Sihanouk province, causing 2 deaths and more than 20 injured.

This incident happened at 5:25 AM on August 28, 2024 at km 127-128 in Cham Srey village, Kampong Seila commune, Kampong Seila district, Preah Sihanouk province.

According to the authorities, the accident occurred between a 5 ton Korean truck with license plate Koh Kong 3A-0815 from Sihanoukville to Phnom Penh, the driver fled the scene of the accident, the truck overtook another vehicle and collided with the vehicle carrying factory workers in the opposite direction.

Immediately after the incident, the local force of Kampong Seila district, in cooperation with the police force of Kampong Seila district, coordinated at the scene and took the victims to the health center of Kampong Seila district and sent others to Sre Ambel District Referral Hospital.
